HYDERABAD: Exuding confidence that his party will hoist the pink flag on top of GHMC, TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said that if need arises, they will take the support of MIM, a friendly party to conquer the capital citadel.
Launching his party’s e-campaign, KCR elaborated his government’s roadmap for Hyderabad, stand with respect to outsiders living in Hyderabad and a variety of issues.
Making it clear that the pink party flag will be unfurled on the GHMC, KCR listed out three factors to get it done. “All the surveys conducted by us and even by opposition parties predict that TRS will emerge as the single largest party,” he said.
The second factor is ex officio members. As the party has the highest number of ex officio members the TRS can wrest the GHMC Mayor post with their help.
“The third factor is Majlis (MIM). If need arises, we have MIM, which is our friendly party with whose help we can win the GHMC. There is no other party which is in a position to win the GHMC,” asserted KCR.
Asked about MIM’s communal politics, KCR retorted back, “They are our ally. I don’t want to look into their philosophy and blood groups.”
KCR made light of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign in Hyderabad. “What is the need for Naidu to tour here when he himself has cities like Tirupati, Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada to be taken care of. Why should he clean the roads here in spite of taking care of his state stretching from Hindupur to Itchapuram,” he quipped.
When his attention was drawn to the harassment by private moneylenders, KCR once again dragged the TDP into the scene. “Till now, we have heard about black money and white money. Now we have call money in the neighbouring state. The creators of call money are seeking votes here.”
The Chief Minister also said the TRS government will not mete out any injustice to others who live in Hyderabad.
Asked about extending schemes like two bedroom houses and jobs to Seemandhras, he said, “I love them. I love all those who live in Hyderabad. I have also said that I will deliver justice to people of Telangana but I never said I will do injustice to others who live here.”
KCR alleged that leaders like Chandrababu Naidu have tried to whip up passions in Hyderabad by raking up issues like Section 8.happy wheels
