Bishkek: Indian leader Pankaj Advani joined Laxman Rawat to demolish Pakistan in the final of the Asian Snooker Championship on Wednesday.
Advani got the first blood doing a good performance against Mohammad Bilal.
After the Pakistani scored the first solitary point and benefited from a lack of Advani, the Indian recovered to compose a brilliant break of 83 to seal the first tie of the best of five final.
The destiny of India was to be determined by the Rawat form of the Advani partner and he did not disappoint.
He rose to the occasion to head for what would be his first major international title with a clinical break to win the frame without allowing his opponent, Babar Masih to score a single point.
To complete a bleach the Indian pair needed to maintain their superlative performance in the doubles draw.
However, the Pakistani duo responded well to the pressure of being 0-2 down, knowing that they needed to win this crucial tie to stay alive in the final. But it was Rawat who saved the day for India by scoring a break of 50 barely when they had a deficit of a similar margin.
But a critical lack in the pink before beginning with the colors, brought Masih back to the table, giving a clear of regulation of yellow to black. Given the kind of pressure that rested on his shoulders to rescue Pakistan from the brink of defeat, he threw himself on the green and gave Advani an involuntary snook.
But the Indian asano was not in the mood to leave the table without doing the work. He played a classy diversion and managed to simply sink the green into his pocket and saw himself in a place of bothering with the brown.
A heroic attempt by Advani got him the boat and India were now only the blue and pink far from raising the Asian title.
He remained nervous and completed the task of clearing the frame, winning the final 3-0.
India A comprised Malkeet Singh with Ashok Shandilya as coach.
Advani remained the only player not to lose a single individual match in the team event. This title brings the second Asian title of Advani this season and the eighth in general (6 Billiards, 1 6-red and 1 Team Snooker) while being the first for Rawat and Singh.happy wheels
