After the victory of TDP, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said, “People have once again demonstrated confidence and trust in development and good governance.”
In Goa, BJP won the partial election to two assembly seats, with Prime Minister Manohar Parrikar emerging victorious from Panaji and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane of Valpoi.
Parrikar defeated its closest rival, Girish Chodankar of Congress by 4,803 votes.
According to the final results announced Monday morning, Parrikar obtained 9,862 votes against 5,059 for Chodankar.
BJP candidate and health minister Vishwajit Rane retained his seat of Valpoi by defeating his closest rival Roy Naik of Congress by 10,066 votes. Rane had resigned as an MLA after leaving Congress.
In Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) comfortably retained the constituency of the Bawana Assembly.
AAP candidate Ram Chander pocketed 59,886 votes, while BJP, who had ranked AAP as its candidate, Ved Parkash, finished second with 35,834 votes.
Kumar, of Congress, fell behind with 31,919 votes.
The bypoll was held on 23 August.happy wheels
