“Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas with strong winds and sudden floods. This serious natural disaster inflexed a serious loss of life and property. Our heart is to the victims of disaster,” said Gautam Samadder, president of the American Association of Home Doctors Indian (AAPI).
He said some members of the AAPI and their families in Texas have also been beaten by Harvey.
The amount raised through donations will be turned over to the Texas governor.
AAPI doctors account for 10 percent of all doctors in the United States, but service approximately 30 percent of patients in the country, Samadder said.
He said the AAPI is concerned about the devastation caused by Harvey and is at the forefront of supporting and helping people affected by the historic storm.
He appealed to his fellow doctors to offer help for the purpose.
“At this time of need, it is our responsibility to provide all possible assistance to the victims of this serious natural disaster in Texas. Our doctors in Texas will serve the victims at no cost for the next 2-4 weeks,” said Samadder.happy wheels
