Naga Chaitanya has been in good form lately with consecutive hits (Premam, Ra Randoi Veduka Chudham). ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ is a very special film for the Akcioneni Scion, as it has been directed by his close friend Krishna Marimuthu. Sai Korrapati who created a niche for himself with quality films is the producer of this project. Let’s see what the movie is about …
Arjun (Naga Chaitanya) is someone who is not interested in 9-6 Jobs. Therefore, it focuses on acquiring experience in Drone Technology in the process of building its future. Arjun has a beautiful family and he falls in love with Anjali (Lavanya Tripathi) who enters his house as a guest. Even your family members approve of your relationship. Just when all was well, A tragedy strikes and Arjun will prepare to pursue the mystery. How did you know the truth and what did you do to resolve the scores of the rest forms of the story.
Roles like these are a walk to Naga Chaitanya. The appearance that looks in this film looked very well and its performance is satisfactory. Lavanya Tripathi looks beautiful but does not have much scope to perform.
Srikanth has given a sincere performance. He, however, was not able to make a big impact since the paper was not properly etched. Revathi and Rao Ramesh have done complete justice to their roles. The role played by Murali Sharma is fun. Priyadarsi is fine.
Vivek Sagar of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame tried to offer a refreshing start but it did not work. Only a couple of songs have been good. Background score is a complete misfit and your style of music does not suit this type of movies. Camera Nikesh’s work is impeccable. It provided a different look to raise the visual appeal. The Tamil writer David Nadhan of the fame of “Knight” fails to impress as he serves a routine story this time. Even dialogues and script could have been much better. Director Krishna Marimuthu shows a spark in a few sequences, but he is very disappointed when choosing a not so promising script.
Manufacturers have revealed how ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ will be like with the Teaser & Trailer itself. As the story unfolds before the release, Audience expects an exciting novel/script when they enter the theaters. Unfortunately, this Naga Chaitanya-stirrer offers nothing new to build the emotion of the viewer.
Script The technique followed here could have been new if the same film was released several years ago. Storytelling does not keep the process interesting. Just because a book had good coverage does not mean it’s a good item to buy. Similarly, the stunning look given to the film with splendid camera work alone can not guarantee success.
The two aspects that the audience finds interesting in ‘Yuddham Saranam’ – the role of Chaitu as Operator of Drone and Villanoy of Srikanth. However, Director could not use any of them to the maximum. In the first half, Hero saves two lives using a Drone. A single scene related to Drone was included in the second half, as well as to remind the audience about the profession of hero. Meanwhile, Srikanth’s role is not as powerful as it should have been. The result could have been different if Hero Intelligence and Drones were used to attack a notorious Gangster. The role of Protagonist is neither realistic nor greater than life to attend a particular section of the audience.
The first half of ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ is acceptable with good family emotions, decent love story and a couple of nice songs. The movie switches to action mode in the second half and loses the track completely. The lack of exciting elements during the battle between Hero & Villain play the spoilsport. The audience is reminded of ‘Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo’ either because of the images or the narration. Even the Climax was not handled properly. Overall, ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ did not live up to expectations.
Conclusion: Try your patience!happy wheels
