2 terrorists on loose, Delhi put on high alert
Delhi has been put on high alert following an intelligence input that two terrorists could have entered Delhi to carry out a suicide attack. The police have appealed to people, shopkeepers and passengers in trains, buses and Metro to keep a watch on their surroundings and alert the police in case they notice anything suspicious.
According to sources, the input suggests that the two operatives, who could be from Jaish-e-Mohammed, were headed for Delhi in a commercial vehicle. The vehicle could be a truck, carrying apples, and is destined for a wholesale market in Delhi, sources said.
The police chiefs of neighbouring states have been asked to keep a watch on vehicles entering the city from western India. A strict vigil is being kept at toll plazas around Delhi. Special surveillance will be mounted at temples. Traffic cops have been asked to stop non-destined vehicles from entering the city over the next few days
