The Division Bench comprising Hearing Hyderabad Kalyanjyothi Chief Justice Sen Gupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar today urged the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to act more decisively to eliminate illegal Fexis, flags and statues in public places.

The Bank was dealing with a case filed seeking removal of the statutes in Mukthinuthalapadu and Gudimillapadu in Prakasam district.

The Bank asked both governments to take steps to prepare a plan of action for the elimination of such illegal and flexies statues.

After passing these orders in December 2014, governments had reported. The bank said Monday that even recently realized flexies jet that are obviously not allowed.

The bench adjourned the case for two weeks for governments to report to the court.

GHMC Polls

Meanwhile, the Bank of Hyderabad Division of Superior Court comprising Chief Justice Kalyanjyothi Sen Gupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar Telangana asked the government to file an affidavit clearly indicating the time required to conduct the elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The Bank was dealing with a case filed by the Center for Good Governance. The petitioner complained that special agents are appointed rather than conducting elections.

The GHMC said he needs more time to finalize new delimitation and identification of living rooms reserved for SC, AC, ST communities and women. The bank asked the State Government to leave clearly indicating the time frame.

The case is listed next week.

Kills Fishermen

Justice S. V. Bhatt Hyderabad High Court on Monday expressed shock and anguish over the attitude of the Fisheries Department officials who failed to pay the amount of compensation to the families of fishermen who died or disappeared in the cyclone in November 1996 in the district of Godavari. To senior officials were asked to obtain records by next Tuesday.

The judge was dealing with a brief filed in 2012 by Mahila Samiti Matsyakara Samshema.

The petitioner complained that the insurance company has not paid States the amount of hundreds of families despite the fact that the cyclone struck the district 20 years ago.
