“I had known SUJOY BUT SOMETIMES had not signed any contract or promised to the film,” said Vidyut
Actor Vidyut Jammwal, the most popular works include Commando, has confirmed it will not be part of the next project director Sujoy Ghosh, based on the novel The Devotion of Suspect X, also with Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.
“I do not see myself in a film of this genre. I met Sujoy a couple of times but had not signed any contract or committed to film. It (the story) sounded interesting, but just wasn ‘t for me. Sujoy is a great director with incredible sensitivity and I would work with him in the future, “Vidyut said in a statement.
The actor has two films in the pipeline for release – Yaara, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia opposite Shruti Haasan, the shooting of which is almost complete; and Commando 2, which will be produced by Vipul Shah and will start soon.
Speaking of Yaara said, “I’m very excited about it. It was a great experience to play with characters ranging age groups through all aspects.”
“The atmosphere in games is so positive and everyone is very optimistic about the film. Working with Tishu Mr. again has been a great experience and I won this learning nuanced him are hard to explain in words,” he added.
Vidyut expects the sequel to Commando takes the franchise forward.
