Kangana received the Rajat Kamal for Best Actress for her acclaimed performance in 2014’s Queen while Kannada Actor Vijay received the Rajat Kamal for Best Actor for Nanu Avanalla Avalu.

‘Best actors’ Kangana Ranaut and Vijay received their National award at the 62nd National Film Awards today.The prestigious function was hosted at Vigyan Bhawan, in New Delhi. Kangana bagged the ‘Best Actress’ title for her critically acclaimed film Queen whereas Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay got recognised as the ‘Best Actor’ for his Kannada film, Naanu Avanalla Avalu. Both the National Award winners looked quite excited as they posed for the cameras at this honorable event.
President Pranab Mukherjee, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore are amongst the chief guests who felicitated the deserving winners, this year. Other actors who were present at this coveted award ceremony include Mary Kom director Omung Kumar and Haider fame Vishal Bharadwaj. While Mary Kom was ranked as the ‘Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment, Haider bagged a total of 5 awards under the categories namely: Best Music Director, Best Dialogues, Best Playback Singer, Best Costume Design and Best Choreography.
