India at the World Badminton Championships: All eyes on Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth to bring home medals

India have been taking big steps in badminton world with shuttlers as Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth winning titles on a consistent basis. Other Indian shuttlers as PV Sindhu, Kashyap Parupalli HS Prannoy also have been doing relatively well, so the laurels of India.

These crops shuttlers will face his biggest of the 22nd edition of the Badminton World Championships in Indonesia, starting from August 10 test.

Although competition has become an annual event since 2006, it is one of the biggest tournaments in badminton, which witnesses world’s best players in action.

Therefore, the onus is on Saina Nehwal, who has not won a medal at the World Championships so far. This may come as a surprise to many, but the Shuttler has failed to go beyond the quarterfinals.

But there are plenty of hope Saina this time after his good run so far this year, having won the Super Series India Open Grand Prix Gold and finishing second prize at the All England Open.

Besides Saina, India a close eye on the boys, where Kidambi Srikanth has been outstanding, as a result of which the Indian has been seeded third in the competition is also maintained.
