KCR launched Grama Jyothi, announces Rs 10 crore for Gangadevipalli Village
The chief K Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana Minister formally launched the Grama Jyothi program aimed at transforming villages in the state in Gangadevipalli in Warangal district on Monday.
Addressing the Grama Sabha, KCR Gangadevipalli announced several gifts to villagers including Rs 10 crore for the development of the village and 100 KV power station. “My support will always be there for these people. Let’s build a school residence in the village. Tomorrow, a GO will be released in that sense,” he said.
Gangadevipalli should become a free people of mosquitoes and should compete with cities in terms of development, KCR said. The Telangana CM also promised to build houses double for all homeless people in the village.
Earlier in the day, the Telangana CM received a great welcome to the modern village. He participated in Haritha haram program before launching the program Grama Jyothi. He was accompanied by the speaker Madhusudana Chary,
Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari and several MLAs and MPs during the tour.
Speaking to media persons here, Ramana says the new scheme, launched by KCR in Warangal district, was to cheat farmers. He alleged that KCR was not serious about the welfare of farmers, said the government of Telangana has even neglected the families of those who committed suicide. He said the TDP Government of Andhra Pradesh has raised ex gratia amount to Rs. 5 lakh for families of farmers who committed suicide.
KCR asked Ramana to take practical steps for the welfare of her instead of trying to get publicity through programs like ‘Grama Jyothi’ farmers.
