CM Naidu’s Two-day GHMC Poll Campaign Begins Today
HYDERABAD: TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is all set to give a fillip to his party’s ongoing campaign trail for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls, by personally taking part in the canvassing phase for two days from Thursday in the run-up to the ‘grand finale’ of the GHMC electoral battle.
He will begin his campaign by taking part in a public meeting at Patancheru on Thursday evening. Later, Naidu will address whistle-stop meetings in each division of Serilingampally, Quthbullapur, Kukatpally and Jubilee Hills. Party sources said the public meetings and tour programme of Naidu had been prepared by laying a special emphasis on areas where Seemandhra people live in large numbers.
“The AP CM will primarily focus his political speeches during the canvassing on how the TDP developed infrastructure facilities in Hyderabad and made the city a global destination for IT, instead of criticising the TRS government,” a TDP leader disclosed.
According to another TDP leader Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy, Naidu would address several public meetings covering 12 Assembly segments in the GHMC area, during his two-day campaign on Thursday and Friday. On the other hand, some of the AP ministers and senior TDP leaders from Andhra have also intensified their campaign.
For instance, AP Panchayat Raj Minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu on Wednesday undertook a whirlwind tour of colonies in Hyderabad dominated by Andhra electors and urged the local people to vote for the TDP-BJP combine.
