Superstar’s Film Sold for 100Cr+
The star power of an actor is gauged based on how much business his new film can do withstanding the number of his earlier disappointments.
Of late, the Khan trio of Bollywood has been rebranded as Khan Duo after Shah Rukh Khan fell far behind in the box office race. His last few films such as Raees, Fan, Dilwale and Happy New Year fell short of expectations.
In spite of all this, SRK’s upcoming film ‘The Ring’ (working title) has reportedly done staggering business. As per reports, the worldwdie theatrical rights of ‘The Ring’ were sold for a whopping Rs 100Cr+. Including the satellite, audio, digital and other rights, the business will be humongous.
Interestingly, ‘The Ring’ is being directed by Imtiaz Ali, whose films generally cater only to multiplex audiences. As the acclaimed fimmaker and SRK have teamed up for the first time, expectations are high on this romantic drama. The film has Anushka Sharma in female lead role.
