Other day Samantha has brought home another trophy which tells us why she’s always on the top of her game. For that stunning performance in Trivikram directorial “A..Aa”, she clinched “Best Actress” trophy at IIFA Utsavam 2017 last night. And here comes an interesting thing.
With Nagarjuna-Amala-Akhil making a splash at the event and Samantha also present, it’s a charming moment to see all the Akkineni’s at one place. And when Samantha came on stage to collect the award, it’s none other than Suresh Babu who awarded her the trophy. He’s nothing but her ‘baabai’ as he happens to Chaitanya’s maternal uncle.
Tollywood’s two big families, Akkineni’s and Daggubati’s are relatives too. Nagarjuna got married to Ramanaidu’s daughter Lakshmi initially and they have a son, Naga Chaitanya. Despite Nag and Lakshmi dissolving their marriage, these two families maintain very cordial relations. Also, Chay shares wonderful bonding with cousin Rana and uncles Suresh Babu and Venkatesh.
More than IIFA Utsavam, it’s this Akkineni-Daggubati bonding that got all our eyes glued to last night.
