Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani was conferred with the Prize of Political Excellence by Sujana Cultural and Literary Organization. Union Minister of Labor, Bandaru Dattatreya, presented the award to Nani. TRS Rajya Sabha K Keshava Rao, former Minister Geeta Reddy and Hero Suman has graced the awards ceremony.
Kesineni Nani made the foray into politics after Chiranjeevi floated the Praja Rajyam party. He, however, left PRP after differences with Megastar and joined TDP. In 2014, Nani disputed the ticket TDP of Vijayawada Lok Sabha Constituency and won by more than 75,000 votes of majority against Vijay Sai Reddy of YCP.
The first parliamentarian was able to gain the confidence of industrialist Ratan Tata with his commitment to serve the people. In 2015, Tata adopted all 264 villages in the Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency through Tata Trusts.
Kesineni Nani did not even hesitate to close his travel business that existed since 1928 to avoid unnecessary controversy. He became a full-time politician with this movement and did not rush to find fault in the AP Department of Transportation on irregularities. We need politicians like Nani to put people’s interest ahead of personal profits!
