New Delhi: The Supreme Court held on Thursday that jobs or government admissions guaranteed under the category reserved for the use of forged caste certificates can not be valid or sustained in the eyes of the law.
A court of Supreme Judge JS Khehar and Judge DY Chandrachud did not share with the findings of the Bombay Supreme Court that if a person remains in service for a long period of time and the certificate is found to be false at a later stage then Or you may be allowed to continue in the service.
The verdict came in a series of petitions, including the one presented by the Maharashtra government against the ruling of the Bombay Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court, however, said that the findings of its verdict would not be applicable retrospectively and would apply now.
