Explosive case of the UP Assembly: Government asks the Ministry of Interior to investigate more

yogiLucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday asked the Interior Ministry to undertake a new investigation into the explosive material found inside the state assembly in Lucknow.

National Agency for Research (NIA) sources reveal that as soon as the Home Office issues a formal order to investigate, the NIA will re-register the case and begin an investigation from all angles.

On Friday, security was strengthened in the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh after explosive dust Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate (PETN), was found within the complex of the Assembly.

Now, entry has been banned for those who do not have a pass. All those who enter the secretariat are being scrutinized.

According to some of the members of the Assembly, if the security drill had been in place much earlier, then incidents such as that which had arisen on Thursday would not have occurred.

Everyone should be supported to ensure that the Assembly is safe from any threat, the members said.

Meanwhile, a first information report (FIR) has been filed against strangers on Saturday in connection with the case.

The case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (2004) and the Explosive Substances Act of 1908.

Aseem Arun, general inspector of the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squadron (ATS), has said that the discovery of explosive dust – PETN suggested the possibility of a terrorist activity.

“We will be exploring the CCTV material and will do a detailed investigation of the site today,” said Aseem Arun.

Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for an investigation by the National Research Agency (NIA).

“The package of the explosive was found under the chairmanship of the opposition leader, was 150 grams of PETN, 500 grams of PETN is enough to dismiss the whole Assembly, which demonstrates the seriousness of the situation. The Assembly should be investigated By the police and that the NIA should investigate the matter, “he said.

“It is unfortunate that the largest Assembly in the country does not have a QRT,” he added.

Adityanath also said that this incident could be in collusion with a terrorist or militant group and that the security of the state and the country is paramount.

Previously, 60 grams of suspect white powder was found in the UP Assembly during an ongoing session, which was then sent to a forensic laboratory for testing.
