Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao refused to react in Gorkhaland Statehood Movement as an individual. He said a clear stance could be taken only after discussing about it in the match.
KCR gave the impression that Telangana Movement can not be compared to that of Gorkhal and why because each area has different factors. ‘Gorkhaland is on the international border. There is a suspicion that China may be behind the intensification of the state movement. Center and West Bengal Governments have focused on these aspects, “he said.
The Telangana Movement was led by KCR for 13 Years. Generally, someone in your position would extend support to other state movements in the country. He, however, chose to be very cautious while reacting on the claim of Gorkhaland’s statement.
There have been riots in Gorkhaland since the last 50 days. Nepalese-speaking gorkas sought a separate state because they felt they were alienated from the Bengalis. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee could not support Gorkhaland Statehood because the Bengalis will not appreciate it.
