TDP looks for suspect leaf against Jagan Reddy on “shots” in Naidu
Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh): Telugu Desam Party on Monday approached the police and requested the opening of the suspect sheet against Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President Jagan Mohan Reddy, for being a “usual delinquent.”
The party has been up against Jagan Reddy over his derogatory remark of “shooting” over Prime Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
TDP President and State Secretary General Varla Ramaiah along with other party leaders approached the Andhra Pradesh DGP, Nanduri Sambasiva Rao, and presented a letter requesting the opening of a suspicious sheet against Jagan Reddy.
Based on their previous charges, including eleven charge sheets filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and five charge sheets by the Execution Directorate (DE), including allegations of involvement in money laundering for rupee crusts , “Very influential person”, adding that “anything is possible that he continues to commit such crimes”.
“The indictment files presented by the CBI against Jagan show that he is accustomed to committing such crimes listed in the charge sheets, is a very influential person and there is a good chance that he will continue to commit such crimes. Highlighting the need to maintain vigilant control of his movements and whereabouts, the TDP through the letter highlighted the possibility that Jagan’s followers might be instigated to carry out what he said.
“Under the circumstances and reasons mentioned above, I request the kindly Director General of Police to order the opening of the (suspect) History Sheet against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the usual offender,” the letter concluded.
On Friday, during his campaign in Nandyal, Jagan launched an absolute surprise when he said that people like CM Naidu should be filmed in public.
Addressing a crowd in Nandyal City, before the partial elections, Jagan said: “A person like Chandrababu Naidu should be shot in public for his double speech and endless acts of corruption.”
Condemning their “vulgar” behavior, CMR leader CM Ramesh said the leader is “unfit for politics” and should be excluded from the election.
“We met with the Chief Elections Commissioner of India on Tuesday, we not only want a case, we want him to be excluded from the elections, he is inadequate for politics, he must resign and resume his business,” Ramesh said.
“The whole party is full of thugs, there is not a suitable candidate, the public gives representation and there have been several FIRs, but I do not think you care about all this, there is no limit, you can attack anyone. This and ensure that action is taken, even if that means that we have to approach the Ministry of Interior, “he added.
Nandyal is an electoral district in the Rayalaseema state area that has been witnessing a political vacuum since the death of its MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy session from a heart attack on March 12, 2017.
While TDP has named Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy as its candidate, the YSRCP has named Silpa Mohan Reddy as its candidate.
Other parties, including Congress, are also planning to present candidates.
The Electoral Commission announced that the elections will be held on August 23.
The vote count will be held on August 28.
