Ram Rahim’s work permit suspended by the Artists Association after rape

Mumbai: Rape author Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been unanimously rescinded by the Association of Film and Television Artists (CINTAA), according to a DNA report.

The man who calls himself has long been part of the cringe-pop of India with his plethora of self-glorifying films, mostly baptized MSG-The Messenger of God. The association decided to end its permit due to serious criminal convictions and accusations like rape, homicide and money laundering.

Previously, Ram Rahim had been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in connection with the infamous 2002 rape case on 25 August. He has been staying in Rohtak jail ever since.

When the punishment was announced by the CBI’s special judge, Jagdeep Singh, the 50-year-old had broken up, seeking forgiveness with his hands folded as he crouched on the floor, refusing to leave.
