HDFC Bank outperformed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Tuesday to become the second most valued company in the country in terms of market valuation.
During the afternoon, HDFC Bank’s market capitalization (m-cap) stood at 4,773,530.72 crore, which was ₹ 797.4 crores more than the TCS crore valuation 4 4,72,733.32.
HDFC Bank shares rose 0.93% to ₹ 1,840 – its 52-week high – in BSE.
The TCS note rose 0.36% to ₹ 2,472.65.
HDFC Bank shares have risen nearly 53% so far this year, while TCS shares have risen nearly 5%.
Reliance Industries Ltd is the most valued company in the country, with a market cap of ₹5,33,818.72 crore followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, ITC (₹ 3,35,993,75 crore) and HDFC Ltd (₹ 2,84,580.02 crore) in the top five list.
