Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, was hit by a massive fire on Tuesday morning. The fire broke out after a massive explosion at the ONGC plant Colt Storage in Uran, Navi Mumbai.
All units were alerted as the siren rang shortly after the accident. Security personnel immediately evacuated everyone in the plant. About 50 firefighters are trying to reach the scene and put out the fire. Five staff members are reported to have lost their lives in the incident. ONGC officials are not clear on this. Dense smoke struck the area as the fires were heavy.
