After Morocco, Georgia beckons for Balakrishna’s 100th film
The makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Gauthamiputra Satakarni, which happens to be the actor’s 100th film, are next headed to Georgia to shoot some important action sequences. While one of the war sequences of the movie was shot in Morocco over a period of a few weeks, the team felt Georgia would be the ideal location to shoot the climactic war sequence.
“In this schedule, they’re planning to shoot in the rain and apparently it rains at this time of the year in Georgia. It will be an action sequence that needs to be partly shot in the rain. Director Krish felt it’d look natural if they shoot in the rain, instead of creating it using VFX. The team is set to leave to Georgia soon for a month-long schedule,” a source said.
Tipped to be made on a lavish budget, the film is the story of an unsung warrior from Satavahana dynasty. It also stars Shriya Saran, Kabir Bedi and Hema Malini in important roles.
