A Family Court in Vijayawada ordered Comrade Pruthvi to pay Rs 8 lakh a month as a maintenance allowance to his wife for reasons of separation.
Seshu alias Balireddy Pruthviraj married Sri Lakshmi, a native of Arandalpeta in Vijayawada, in 1984. They have two children. Sri Lakshmi’s parents used to run sweets in Vijayawada. After the death of his father, Srilakshmi & Pruthvi took over the business for some time. For his passion for acting, Pruthvi had visited Chennai frequently for offers during this period. After being busy as an actor, he moved his family to Hyderabad. Due to the clashes, Pruthvi sent Srilakshmi out of his home on April 5, 2016. Attempts by family members to unite the couple have not yielded results since Pruthvi did not cooperate.
On November 2, 2016, Srilakshmi filed a case against Pruthvi under section 498. She even moved the family court seeking Rs 10 lakh per month from Pruthvi as a maintenance allowance. As Pruthvi did not receive the call, Sri Lakshmi issued a paper statement. The judge ordered Pruthvi to pay Rs 8 lakh a month to his wife after he did not appear for the hearing.
