Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday announced the cabinet expansion. Another six people have already been given a cabinet of 12. Keeping check on all speculations as to whether Harish Rao will be appointed as minister, KCR has entrusted the crucial finance department. Harish Rao is expected to introduce the budget in the Legislative Council on Monday during Assembly sessions.
However, in the first government formed in Telangana, Harish Rao served as the Minister of State for Heavy Irrigation and Minister for Youth Services in Joint Andhra Pradesh. He was sworn in as a minister for the third time. He was elected MLA six times in his political career.

Harish Rao, son of Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s sister, Lakshmibai, son of Satyanarayana. He was born on June 3, 1972 in Siddipeta, Medak district. Harish Rao, a graduate of Kakatiya University in Warangal, has been working as a leader of the TRS party since its inception in 2001. In October 2004, Siddipetta contested the by-election for the first time and won by a majority of 24,827 votes.
Congress and TRS party alliance Rajesh Shekhar Reddy Cabinet Minister Harish Rao served as Minister for Youth Services and Printing Stationery. As a part of the Telangana movement, he won the Congress by-election in 2008 by a record margin of 58,935 votes. In the 2009 general election, he reversed his record by a majority of 64014 votes. In the by-election in 2010, the state topped with a majority of 95,858 votes.
He won the 2014 general election by a landslide majority of 93,328 votes and was the minister of state affairs in the first Telangana government. In 2018, Siddeepeta contested for the sixth consecutive term and won with a record majority of 1,18,699 votes. With this victory, he was sworn in as a six-time MLA at an early age.
