AP TDP leader and former speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao was given a bail by High Court judge. The bench had issued an anticipatory bail for Kodela and his son Sivaram. The High Court on Friday granted bail petitions filed by Kodela and his son Shivaram. Bail was granted in connection with five cases in Sattenpally and Narasaraopet.
Kodela’s son has been booked under various sections at Narasaraopeta and Sattenapalli police stations. There were also allegations that he was collecting money from the unemployed to provide jobs. Kodela’s son Kodela Sivaram has been accused of alleging unfair land grabbing and collecting money from real estate dealers.
According to a complaint filed by the assembly officials, the Guntur district’s Tulloor police have filed a case against the assembly officials for allegedly using assembly furniture as their own. Kodela and his son have approached the High Court seeking early bail in the wake of the cases. Bail was granted by the court hearing the petitions.
