Baahubali Fame Anushka Shetty To Play Queen Bhagmathi?
Grapevine is abuzz with rumours that Baahubali fame Anushka Shetty is in negotiations to play the lead role in an upcoming film which will be based on birth of Bhagmathi river. The film will also showcase the history of Hyderabad. Reportedly, it is the same film which was in news back in 2012. It seems that the makers of the flick have kick-started the project recently.
If all goes well, the actress will be seen essaying the role of queen Bhagmathi. It is said that she will have a complete makeover for the look of the mystic Hindu queen. Male lead actor, which hasn’t been decided as yet, will be playing the role of Muslim sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah.
The film will be helmed by director Ashok, who is currently busy shooting for Chitrangadha. It is said that the director has a striking idea for the screenplay which will convert the film into a commercial hit. However, nothing about the film can be said to be confirmed until an official announcement is made.
Anushka is finally relieved as her two big projects never had a clash with each other. Earlier it was expected that ‘Rudhrmadevi’ might have a faceoff with ‘Size Zero’. But PVP pictures delayed the release based on her request.
Arya is doing the male lead role for ‘Inji Idupazhagi’ and this is the second time he is pairing with Anushka. Prasad V Potluri funds the project under PVP Pictures banner. This will be a bi-lingual movie and will be made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.
Prakash Kovelamudi has crafted the venture and Mathan Karky who was the dialogue writer for ‘Baahubali’ in Tamil version, has scripted the dialogues for this project too. Sonal Chauhan, Urvasi and Master Bharat are also part of the cast.
