Former ZP chairman of Chittoor district, YSRCP leader Subramaniam Reddy, who had unsuccessfully contested against CM Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam thrice, has joined in TDP in the presence of Chandrababu on Monday. Subramaniam has levelled serious allegations against Jagan Mohan Reddy while joining TDP.
Subramaniam Reddy said, “There were no such wealthy persons around Jagan when he was in jail. Only a few loyalists and his family was with Jagan when he was jailed. But whereas, after he came out of jail, a lot of rich people came to him. He has now offered all of us to the rich.” Subramaniam added that he is in politics to serve people.
Chandrababu has welcomed Subramaniam Reddy with great respect. Throughout the speech, Naidu referred Subramaniam Reddy has Subramaniam Garu. Naidu also welcomed all the followers of Subramaniam into TDP. Chandrababu said that he doesn’t have any caste feeling and reiterated that he belongs to the caste of Poverty (Pedarikam). Chandrababu also wished to win in all the 175 assembly constituencies in AP in the 2019 elections and he said he would like to serve people of AP again as the CM.
Meanwhile, the exodus of Subramaniam and his followers to TDP is seen as a big jolt to Jagan. With this, YSRCP has not just lost its senior leader but also lost an opponent to field against CM Chandrababu in his own Assembly constituency of Kuppam.
