In the 2014 polls, the YSR Congress Party managed to get decent results in the Krishna district. However, the Vijayawada West MLA, Jaleel Khan, transferred loyalties to TDP. It appears that former Congressman Malladi Vishnu is willing to join the YSR Congress soon. He is a senior leader and could equal the stature of Devineni Uma and Lagadapati Rajagopal. Even the leadership of YCP is willing to welcome the party, as it had maintained good relations with the late YCP and its ability to strengthen the party in the district of Krishna.
YSR Plenary Congress in Vijayawada is scheduled to happen on July 8 and 9. Malladi Vishnu is likely to join YCP at that time with his followers.
So far, Malladi Vishnu has not condemned reports on his decision to leave the Congress party. Which indicates that it has already been decided.
