BJP wins council seat Telangana
The TRS leaders in Telangana received a jolt on Wednesday with TDP-BJP opposition alliance bagged one of the two seats of the Legislative Council who went to vote on Sunday.
Ramachandra Rao Bharatiya Janata Party won the elections graduates constituency Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad-Mahabubnagar ‘, defeating his nearest rival Devi Prasad of Telangana Rashtra Samithi by 13,318 votes.
Rao polled 53,881 votes while Prasad secured 40,563 votes. The main opposition Congress won only 2,856 votes.
In Khammam district-Nalgonda-Warangal graduates Rajeswar Reddy TRS candidate for BJP candidate was leading by 1,657 votes at the end of the second round of counting, election officials said Wednesday night.
According to the Electoral Commission, the 296,318 voters, about 39 percent exercised their right to vote in the constituency graduates Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar.
In Khammam district graduates-Nalgonda-Warangal, nearly 51 percent of the 281,138 voters cast their votes.
