After the pictures of soon-to-be married couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha performing a special pooja were surfaced on social media few days ago, there have been widespread speculations that Samantha has changed her religion in the presence of Chaitu and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
While giving an interview to promote his upcoming romantic drama ‘Premam’, Chaitu clarified about these photos saying, ‘it was a normal pooja being performed at Annapurna Studios by my father. As we happened to be there at that time, he asked us to sit through the event and we obliged’.
‘Neither Samantha changed her religion nor were those photos of our engagement. I would never ask her to change her religion. I love her as a person and I have no issues with which religion she belongs to. When I love a person, I love everything about her,’ Chai clarified.
‘Moreover, I would never ask her to give up her acting career just because she married me. It will be entirely her call. I know how hard she had worked to reach the position she reached today,’ Chaitu added to clear the air on Sam’s future plans.
Chaitu also said that the duo will marry next year with the blessings of their elders.
