Chiru as Khaidi No 150
It’s Gulte which first broke the news that there would be change in the title (Kathilantodu) of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s landmark 150th film. It proved to be true as the latest reports have it that the film would be christened as ‘Khaidi No 150’. It’s common knowledge that Chiru would be seen playing dual role (one as thief and other as saviour of farmers) in the Telugu remake of Tamil superhit Kaththi.
Already the portions of Chiru in prison were shot in the first schedule and he was seen bearing the number Khaidi No 150. Since Chiru’s classic film was Khaidi, now producer Ram Charan and director Vinayak are contemplating to name the film after Khaidi so that fans would rejoice.
Meanwhile, the hunt for female lead opposite Chiranjeevi is still on. Chiru apparently left the decision to director Vinayak and producer Ram Charan. Mega Star reportedly suggested them to have a heroine who has Telugu connect so that people would relate to her.
Currently, the film’s shooting is progressing on blitzkrieg speed and the second schedule is on. Scenes involving farmers woes are being shot in Chevella, in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
