Congress candidate finalized for Huzoor Nagar by-election TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy announced Satimani Padmavathi Reddy. The Congress has issued a statement on Tuesday (September 24) formally announcing Padmavati lice. Padmavathi contested from Kodada seat in the last election and lost.
It is reported that the Revant Reddy faction vehemently opposes the nomination of Padmavati as the Congress candidate for Huzur Nagar seat. TPCC chief Uttam .. Revanth alleged that the decisions were arbitrary. The locals in Huzur Nagar demanded the opportunity.
Revanth asked the Telangana Congress incharge of Kuntiya to allocate Huzoor Nagar ticket to the natives Shyamala Kiran Reddy. However, senior leaders of the party were angry at Revant. Party MPs and senior leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the recent decisions of the party did not need to be considered. Against this backdrop, there was an excitement as to which category would favor the Huzoor Nagar ticket. The Congress party has finalized the candidate in preparation for the celebration.
Uttam Kumar Reddy won the Telangana Assembly elections in December 2018 from Huzur Nagar. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Nalgonda parliamentary seat in the general elections in April. In the wake of the resignation of the Huzoor Nagar assembly seat, the election was inevitable.
The Congress is on the verge of reclaiming Huzoor Nagar anyway, as the Swayana TPCC chief contested and won. Uttam Kumar Reddy has toured the constituency extensively and is already campaigning. It is said to be an election that turns state politics. Huzurnagar by-election is described as the last election in the state’s history. They are confident that the Congress party will win by a majority of 30 thousand.
The ruling TRS party landed a candidate in the past. The TRS headquarters has finalized the name of Saidi Reddy to contest from this position. CM KCR has already provided him a bee-form. Nominations for Huzoor Nagar by-election will be received till September 30.
The BJP has been discussing the Huzoor Nagar by-election for a long time. Srikalareddy’s selection seems almost final. The State Core Committee, which met on Tuesday on the selection of the candidate, discussed the issue for over an hour.
Srikantachary’s mother, Sankaramamma, who is contesting in Huzoor Nagar BJP, along with Bhagyara Reddy, who contested the 2008 elections, seems to have come up for debate. However, most of these leaders are leaning towards Srikala Reddy. She is the daughter of former MLA Jitender Reddy.She joined the BJP with MP Garikpati Mohan Rao a few days ago.
