Court reacts seriously on Mahesh’s absence
Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘Srimanthudu’ becomes a sensational success. Writer Sarath Chandra moved the court after the release of this film accusing the creators of copyright infringement. He claimed this feature was greatly inspired from his novel “Chachenta Prema”.
In fact, the Srimanthudu team did not attach much importance to the accusations or the case. Attempts at out-of-court settlement did not produce any results. A few months ago, Sarath Chandra called a press conference to tell him that he does not need any remuneration, but sought to include his name as a writer in the title credits of the Hindi version of “Srimanthudu.”
Recently, the court has ordered Mahesh Babu, Koratala Siva and the producers to appear in court for the next hearing. Even Mahesh’s Counsel’s argument that he does not need to attend the audience was not entertaining as Superstar is the co-producer of the film. Calls have been issued asking them to be present in the court. However, the team of Mahesh Babu and Srimanthudu had given a wrong to the audience. The judge reacted seriously since none of them were present in court. This development has complicated the case and no one knows how it will end now.
