Flood threat looms over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh as a fan Godavari
Flood threat looms over parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as heavy rains continued to lash the two states Telugu for a third day on Monday.
Dozens of people from both states were cut in Khammam district of Telangana district and East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh as Godavari River and its tributaries remained in series.
The water level in Godavari at Bhadrachalam in Khammam district rose to 37 feet at 9 am on Monday, flooding many villages along the banks. With heavy rains that hit the upstream states of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh and met department forecast rain continued, officials expect more entries of the night.

Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has predicted rains in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana the next two or three days. He also warned of heavy or very heavy rain in isolated northern coastal Andhra and Telangana.
According to Cyclone Warning Centre, Visakhapatnam, strong surface winds reach 45-55 kilometers per hour speed are likely along and off north and south coastal Andhra.
The fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
Local warning signal number three has been hoisted at Kalingapatnam, Bheemunipatnam, Visakhapatnam, Gangavaram, Kakinada and Machilipatnam port said Cyclone Warning Center.
