Former ballerina with weight problems, crowned Miss British Beauty Curve 2017
Emily Diapre, a former ballerina, who was obsessed with her figure and suffering from mental health problems, was crowned Miss British Beauty Curve 2017.
The 24-year-old hit the rock bottom while training at a dance school, but later decided to hug his curvaceous figure.
Emily went from a size of six to her junior, despite being five and a half feet nine to her current size 18.
She was crowned beauty queen of the contest at the Hazlett Theater, Maidstone.
Speaking of which Emily said she was ecstatic with the win after four rounds, which included an interview with former directors and queens.
Emily wants to encourage girls to accept their bodies and get help to reach charities for mental health.
Emily works in the direction of events at the Beaverwood Club, Chislehurst, and often supports charities through her work there.
She says that joining the British Beauty Curve Miss has helped come to terms with her size, and has encouraged her to help other young women do the same.
