Hyderabad: A 20-year-old woman from Delhi was allegedly raped at a guesthouse in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad.
According to Srinivas, inspector (Banjara Hills), a few days ago, three friends, two girls and one boy, arrived in Hyderabad on a holiday.
They were staying in a guesthouse in Banjara Hills. They took two rooms – one girl and her boyfriend stayed in one room and the other girl stayed in a separate room.
Four people from Nellore who also stayed in the same guest house noticed that the girl was left alone.
On August 16, early in the morning, a person knocked on the door of the girl and when he opened the door pointed a weapon and threatened. Then he took her to her room and raped her.
The other three defendants were outside the courtroom.
A case was registered under articles 354, 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and all four defendants were arrested.
An investigation is under way.
