IPL 2015 Opening Ceremony: Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma Rehearse Despite Rain
Celebrities Bollywood Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan fit glamor to the opening ceremony of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) the eighth season on Tuesday night.
The opening ceremony will be held at the Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday night and Bollywood celebrities arrived in Kolkata on Monday, a day before his much anticipated performance.
The IPL 2015 Opening Ceremony is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm IST (15:00 BST, 11 am ET) with live coverage of all including Sony and Sony Six Max. Shortly after it landed in Calcutta, Hrithik, Shahid and Anushka were for testing. Despite heavy rain, Bollywood stars were seen rehearsing with his background dancers in the Salt Lake Stadium.

Hrithik, Shahid and Anushka are set to captivate the audience with Farhan Akhtar and his band and Pritam and his band. Actor Saif Ali Khan will host the two-hour long opening ceremony on Tuesday night.

The Kolkata Knight Riders IPL head to 2015 as champions, and there will be a delivery of symbolic trophy back throughout the brightness of Bollywood, with the eight captains – Gautam Gambhir, George Bailey, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Shane Watson, David Warner, JP Duminy Virat Kohli and – from the eight sides of IPL also set to be present.
The eight captains retake the promise of “MCC Spirit of Cricket”, pledging to play the game in the right spirit.
“The eight team captains will be present to take the MCC Spirit of Cricket pledge, reaffirming the values in the commitment of the Spirit of Cricket IPL, which has been on display since the start of the competition in 2008,” said BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said in a statement on the official website of the IPL.
IPL 2015 in terms of matchplay will open on Wednesday when defending champions KKR take 2,013 winners Mumbai Indians the iconic Eden Gardens. If IPL last season is anything to go by, it promises to be another highlight of a six strokes, making wicket, but mainly from six shots, tournament, with eight teams looking pretty strong on paper.
