Aranmanai 2 is a Tamil horror comedy movie directed and produced by Sundar C which is a sequel of successful 2014 film Aranmanai, released on 29th January 2016. The movie released in Telugu as Kalavathi on the same day. The film stars Siddharth, Trisha and Hansika Motwani in the leading roles. Sundar C is also playing the important role in this film. This is the first film with Sundar C. Soori, Kovai Sarala and Manobala in other supporting roles. The music is composed by Hiphop Tamizha and released in the month of December 2015. Aranamanai 2 is Tamil Comedy Horror entertainer in which Siddharth played a the lead role and Trisha, Hansika as a female lead. For Siddharth, it is the second film with the maverick director after the super hit comedy ‘Theeya Vela Seyyanum Kumaru’. The film retains Hansika from ‘Aranmanai’. In this, the director also played a lead role.
Trisha beach song and her devilish performance are amazing. Aranmanai 2 is the end for Siddarth’s continuous flops. Poonam Bajwa, Vaibhav Reddy, Soori, Kovai Sarala, Manobala, Raj Kapoor and others are also performed well. Perfect direction with perfect timing!
The two films are quite different – the only common things between me and the first film is the brand and me and Sundar sir. It’s a new script. As everyone knows, in this film I play a character who is pregnant. This is the first time I am playing a pregnant lady on screen in my career. That’s one big difference that you will see and it will justify the character. I can’t reveal more details about the role though, you’ll have to see the film.
I think she’s a very kind-hearted and magnanimous lady. She always praises me and I am very fond of her entire family. In fact, her daughters are like my sisters. They call me ‘didi’ and I enjoy being around them. We are like family now. It feels good that such a versatile, pleasant and big personality compliments you so nicely all the time. I feel very privileged that she calls me and praises me.
