Well remembered for his debut in Bollywood in ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ and recently seen on screen in ‘Baby’ Neeraj Pandey, actor and producer Rana Daggubati talks about his intense preparation for the SS Rajamouli ‘Baahubali’, where he plays a negative role Bhallala Deva.
“I am very excited about its launch. We shot for almost two and a half years to three years and feel like this will never overcome, so it is good feeling that is finally”.
Although the muscular actor has spent much of his time in this mega period film, Rana says will have no regrets if the film is not as expected.
“For a movie like this, every day I went to the set, I went with the pride and excitement that this type of film has never been done before. And the skill sets I have collected during the film either action or It riding, will stay with me for a long time, so I have no regrets. ”
However, Rana admitted it is extremely physically strenuous for shooting epic project, “It was very draining. When I signed up for this film three years ago, he wanted me physically large. There were two body builders who came on board to us to gain size and also had a teacher struggle to train in different forms of martial arts. ”
Speaking of the preparation that went into the physical aspects of the film, said, “There are a number of Hollywood films and war films from Asia, we did not want that the action is like nothing there. So we same design weapons and realized forms of use. All it took about six months which includes learning to ride a horse and carriage. ”
In an industry like Bollywood, some of our classic villains have highlighted more than the protagonists themselves. Rana, meanwhile, believes his character Bhallala Deva will go home with the public.
“Every time you read an epic story as ‘Ramayana’, ‘Raavan’ is so powerful even though it is a negative character. Similarly, ‘Baahubali’ is an epic story of two cousins fighting for their right to the kingdom . Therefore, every actor has a chance to be a villain once and do it well. I have not seen anything bigger than ‘Baahubali’ “.
