Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has been part of several item numbers hit – whether it was ‘Marjaani’ (Billu, 2009) or ‘Fevicol’ (Dabangg 2, 2012). Now she is making waves with their latest dance number, Mera Naam Mary in filmmaker Karan Johar Brothers, a remake of the Hollywood film, Guerrero (2011).

Here, we catch up with the actress to talk about his love for these songs, their young fans of Bollywood, and more.

Sidharth Malhotra said recently that he wishes he had a younger version of you, so he could go out with her …
There can be no other Kareena (laughs). And it is not because of anything else, but because I feel strongly that everyone should have their own personality. I read the interview, and I feel that’s a compliment. I felt very special. He (Sidharth) is a dear friend, so we can chat and meet, but obviously he can not date me (smiles)

I love the song and dance sequences; they are very important to me. I think the dancing and singing, especially in Hindi films, is the main thing that attracts audiences. That, in fact, a movie helps a lot, especially if it’s a commercial film. And, of course, I like making songs article. I think they’re about to look and feel good, be in great shape, and I think the new item number has received an incredibly shot.

I know it’s a beautiful film, and you’ll do fine. Our latest film, Bodyguard (2011), was a success. People are waiting to see us perform together again. Expectations are high, and I think we have done our bit. After 15 years, my family, my parents, my sister, her children and my grandmother had decided to go on a trip. So I could not back out of the holiday. Anyway, such a film [large] needs to be promoted only for a week; You not need more time than that.
