Former AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao and his family refused to attend the funeral with the government’s mandate. Jagan announced on Tuesday that the funeral will be held in conjunction with the government code for the codecs. The general secretary has been instructed to do so. But his family refused. Kodela’s funeral will be held today (Wednesday) at Narasaraopet.
His family members and TDP leaders say that Kodela committed suicide due to the YSRCP government’s harassment and political party attitudes. TDP leaders are questioning how the government that killed the codecs would agree to his funeral.
