Now that Reserve Bank of India has reportedly approved the proposal to introduce new Rs 200 notes, here’s the picture of that note which is highly under circulation now. If this picture is anything to go by, the new 200 Rs note looks quite similar to the existing higher denomination notes and it has got almost all new features to identify.
After replacing the old 500 and 1000 Rs notes with new 500 and 2000 denominations, India is all set to witness new currency note and the process of printing these notes are expected to begin from the month of June this year.
With a view to balance the higher denomination notes with lower currency, the union government, after an approval from RBI, decided to come up with this move. However, an official announcement from the central bank is still awaited in this regard.
On other hand, union is pushing hard to go digital and making it hard for common people, who’re still facing cash crunch problems at ATM machines.
