OnePlus 5 revealed in India, starts at Rs.32,999
Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has announced its latest “flagship killer” OnePlus 5 in India. The smartphone can be purchased at Amazon India from 4.30pm today at a price of R 32,999 for 6GB RAM / 64GB memory storage and Rs 37,999 for 8GB RAM / 128GB storage.
Its key features: OnePlus 5 is powered by the latest Qulacomm 835 octo-core processor Snapdragon, along with 8 GB of RAM, is equipped with dual camera configuration and operates on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080. Under the hood, it is powered by the 835 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 8GB of RAM in the 128GB storage variant and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage option.
The OnePlus 5 features a dual rear camera, similar to an iPhone 7 Plus and several other smartphones. The wide-angle lens is a Sony IMX 398 with an aperture of f / 1.7 and has Electrical Image Stabilization (EIS). The secondary telephoto lens is a Sony IMX 350 20MP sensor with a f / 2.6 aperture. This hardware, along with the deception of the software, makes for a convincing camera unit on paper.
A more detailed 16MP camera front camera with a 1 micron pixel IMX371 Sony sensor, an f / 2.0 aperture and an active screen flash with three modes to choose from: On, Off and Auto. The phone retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
It also operates on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with OxygenOS on top. The phone comes in Midnight Black and Slate Gray colors, and is touted as the “thinnest OnePlus flagship ever” with 154.2×74.1×7.25mm measurement.
