Oracle likely to set foot in Andhra Pradesh
He along with the group’s regional leader Joseph Shamshuddin and director for India, Surya Maya, called on Minister for IT Dr Palle Raghunatha Reddy at the secretariat here on Wednesday. The visit was sequel to the invitation extended by Palle who led a delegation to the Oracle in the USA recently. The IT Minister explained the delegation about Andhra Pradesh IT policy,
industrial policy and e-Pragati project and urged the group to invest in Andhra Pradesh. He offered full support to the group wherever it intends to invest. The Oracle representatives responded favourably to the minister’s request to be part of the Sunrise AP development.
Two lakh jobs
Also, Indian Cellular Association national president Pankaj Mohindro, Celkon Mobiles managing director Y Guru and telecom sector skill council director A Guru Raj had a meeting with Palle Raghunatha Reddy and discussed the progress of Celkon, Micromax and Karbon mobile units coming up near Tirupati.
Pankaj said that over two lakh unemployed would be inducted into jobs after imparting them necessary training. He said that the Andhra Pradesh is sure to become a mobile hub in the next two or three years going by incentives being extended by the government. The mobile units’ annual turnover would cross Rs 50,000 crore in two or three years, he added.
