Rooms were allocated to various political parties and parliamentary parties in Parliament. Depending on the number of party members, 15 political parties were allocated rooms in Parliament. The BJP, which is in power at the Center, has allocated rooms 2, 3 and 4 on the ground floor. The Congress has 24, 25 number rooms. The DMK, which won 23 MP seats, was allocated room number 46 and Trinamool Congress 20-B room.
Room number 5 was assigned to the YSRCP. Interestingly, this room was allotted to TDP between 2014-19. Party offices are allotted based on the number of MPs. Parliaments are reserved for parties with more than five MPs.
This is the first time in the history of the TDP that the parliamentary party has lost its office. Only three have won the Lok Sabha on behalf of the TDP. Four Rajya Sabha members have joined the BJP. The party currently has only two Rajya Sabha members. Since the number of parliamentarians of the TDP is only 5 .. The party lost its office in Parliament.
Another Telugu party, TRS, was allocated room number 125 on the third floor. The BJP ally, the Shiv Sena party, was allocated room 128 on the third floor.
