Prime Minister Narendra Modi came in support of Mohan Lal-starrer ‘The Mahabharata’ which entered into title row recently.
Pro-Hindu Group Kerala Hindu Aikya Vedi threatened to stall the release of ‘The Mahabharata’ by demanding a change of the Title saying no other story except that penned by Vyasan can be named Mahabharata. There mayn’t be any problems for the Makers after PM Narendra Modi offered his full support to the Makers.
Modi has written a letter to UAE-based Indian businessman BR Shetty who is bankrolling Rs 1000 crore ‘The Mahabharata’ appreciating him taking up the mammoth project. He termed the Magnum Opus as the ‘Pride of the Nation’.
Team of ‘The Mahabharata’ sought PM’s appointment to thank him for the gesture. Even PMO responded positively to the appeal and granted appointment on July 7th this year.
