Here is the inside information on how Prabhas and Sujeeth teamed up for high-end action film Sahoo.
It was Prabhas who approached Sujeeth of Run Raja Run fame to write a film for him and not the other way around. This was confirmed by none other than Sujeeth himself. According to him, Prabhas has met him during the success party of Run Raja Run and that’s when he had asked him to write a script for him. Then Sujeeth had thought that Prabhas was not serious and thought it was a random chitchat. Sujeeth who first started Sahoo, dropped the script in the mid-way and only worked till interval.
However, only few months later, Sujeeth realised how serious Prabhas was when he had scolded him for his lack of seriousness, laxity. It’s then Sujeeth started re working on the script of Sahoo. Apparently, Sujeeth reworked on the second part of Sahoo while he is on his way to Prabhas house.
Even then Sujeeth had no clue that he would be directing the film, as he thought he would just sell the script to the producers of Prabhas (UV Creations who produced Mirchi). But it’s Prabhas who said to had asked him to direct Sahoo. And that was in January 2015, six months before the first part of Baahubali released (July 10).
Now that both the parts of Baahubali have released and the second part has crossed Rs 1000 Crore at the BO and continuing its tsunami, Sujeeth admits that Prabhas is bigger than a star now. However, he made it clear that there won’t be any changes to the script, plan that was locked before Baahubali release.
To be made with 150 Cr budget in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi with ensemble cast and top technicians, the film is going to begin its shoot in June.
