Puli is an Action-fantasy-adventure film written and directed by Chimbu Deven. the movie features Vijay, Sudeep, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Prabhu and Nandita Swetha in the lead roles. Puli is produced by Shibu Thameens and Vijay’s public relations officer Selvakumar.Puli marks the comeback of beauty queen Sridevi in tamil film industry after a long gap. She was last seen in hindi blockbuster movie English Vinglish. the movie is released simultaneously in 3 languages, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Puli completed the shooting with a budget of Rs 100+ Crores. the movie is released over 3000+ screens worldwide with a mixed reviews.
The story revolves around a group of people who has Marudheeran played by Vijay’s character leading them. There is a Kingdom named Vedhalapuram whose army attacks the village and kidnap Pavanamalli who is Marudheeran’s love interest. Rest of the movie has Marudheeran’s search for his love that ultimately lands him in Vedhalapuram where he has to face off with the queen of the Kingdom and her chief commander.

Vijay will bring in his fantasy adventure film, Puli this week. The film has him as a blue-eyed warrior in a mythical land, who revolts against a tyrannical king. The film also stars Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Kichcha Sudeep, who was also seen in another fantasy film earlier this year, Baahubali!
