Rains pound Telangana new
For the second time in less than a week, out of season rain lashed several parts of the district on Friday, causing extensive damage to standing crops and also to interrupt the production of coal in opencast projects (ACO) in the Kothagudem division.
One person was injured when lightning struck him in Jastipalli in Kamepalli Mandal. Lightning incidents were also reported Nelakondapally Mandal and some other places in the past 24 hours.
The rain hit several areas in Wajedu, Venkatapuram mandals and tribal sub-plans Dummugudem in Bhadrachalam division Friday morning.
